Y6 Girls Football
Premier League Primary Stars
On Friday 18th March, the Year 6 Girls went to a regional Premier League Primary Stars event in Stoneham after winning the local event for Bournemouth and Poole. They had a nervous start, narrowly losing to Brighton 1-0. This did not dampen their spirits and they won their final two group games, scoring 7 goals and conceding zero.
In the quarter-finals they came up against Portsmouth and played incredibly well winning 2-0. Semi finals then followed and they had a very close game against Woking eventually winning with an amazing extra time goal. The final saw AMS come up against Southampton. This was a really close fought game and the girls managed to end the game as 1-0 winners and were crowned champions of the tournament.
Mr. Hickson and all of AMS are incredibly proud of their achievements. They now move on to the national finals in May held at Premier League team Watford's ground on the actual pitch!
