Remote Learning Offer - 2021
Due to the late Government announcement last night, we have been busily putting together our remote learning offer for pupils over the next half term.
From Monday 11th all pupils will receive at least two live learning sessions per day whilst also registering with their class and partaking in class reading / year group assembly live each day. The key worker and vulnerable children who will be coming into school will also receive a full curriculum taught by a teacher.
For the next 3 days, beginning tomorrow - Wednesday 6th January, pupils are to log in to Google Classroom at 8.40 to attend the live register taken by their tutor and subsequent assembly from the head of year ( link will be in the tutor classroom on GC). For the remainder of their day, they are to follow their normal school timetable and complete all work uploaded by their teachers at the time of their lesson. This work will all be acknowledged and some teachers will be available to answers questions through the message facility although this will depend on how the teachers are also deployed in school.
For the groups of children coming into school, they should wear school uniform at all times. For this week only, could they wear their PE kits into school on the day they would usually have a PE lesson ( year 5-Friday, year 6 - Thursday, year 7- Thursday and Friday , year 8 - Friday). Pupils are to enter via their usual school gate and door into school where teachers will meet them and direct them to which classroom they’ll be based in. Could all year 7 & 8 pupils, bring in their own earphones if they have any, for the next few days.
We will share the comprehensive plans for all children for next week onwards over the next few days.
Please bear with us over the next few days while we put together the best provision we are able to for all pupils throughout the school whilst also ensuring the safety of all of our school community.
The Home Learning page will be updated with the information as soon as it has been finalised.
